2. Handcrafted Nature & Organic Tile Variations

All MoodZellij tiles are 100% handcrafted in Fez, Morocco by skilled master artisans (Maâlems) using centuries-old clay shaping, glazing, and wood-fired kiln techniques.

• Authentic Variations: Subtle variations in color intensity, glaze depth, surface texture, edge bevels, and dimensions are inherent characteristics of handmade zellij tile work and are celebrated as marks of authenticity.
• Chipping & Crazing: Minor edge chipping (known as pit-firing or chisel marks) and fine glaze crazing are natural signatures of authentic handmade tile cutting and firing, not manufacturing defects.
• Blending Recommendation: Installers must pull and mix tiles from multiple boxes simultaneously during installation to ensure an even and balanced distribution of color tones across the surface.

3. Orders, Quotes & Custom Fabrications

We provide custom quotes for architectural projects, residential designs, and bulk export orders.

• Quote Validity: Price quotations provided via email or WhatsApp are valid for 30 days from the issue date unless specified otherwise.
• Custom Orders: Custom color formulations, bespoke geometric cuts, and pre-assembled mosaic panels require formal approval of technical drawings and payment of a non-refundable down payment prior to commencing production.
• Cancellations: Due to the artisanal and custom nature of our production, custom order cancellations cannot be accepted once clay processing, cutting, or firing has commenced.

4. Worldwide Shipping, Delivery & Import Terms

MoodZellij exports handcrafted tiles directly from Fez, Morocco to clients and job sites worldwide.

• Transit Lead Times: Estimated shipping transit times are provided in good faith based on freight carrier schedules and international shipping lanes. MoodZellij is not liable for delays caused by carrier schedules, weather conditions, or customs processing.
• Inspection at Delivery: Upon receiving your freight shipment, outer crates and packaging must be inspected for damage before signing the carrier’s Bill of Lading (BOL) or delivery receipt. Any visible damage or shortage must be clearly noted on the delivery receipt and reported to us within 48 hours.
• Customs, Duties & Taxes: Unless DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms were explicitly agreed upon and invoiced, the buyer/importer is solely responsible for all local import duties, taxes, VAT, and customs clearance fees levied by the destination country.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, text, photography, graphic representations, product designs, mosaic layout patterns, and trademarks displayed on this website are the exclusive intellectual property of MOOD ZELLIJ SARL. Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial use without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

6. Installation & Limitation of Liability

MoodZellij supplies raw handcrafted materials only and does not provide installation services.

Important Note: We strongly recommend hiring experienced, licensed tile installers who are specifically familiar with natural terracotta, handmade zellij, and traditional lime/cement or flexible tile-setting techniques.

MoodZellij shall not be held liable for:

• Improper tile installation or surface preparation.
• Failure to follow correct grouting, sealing, or waterproofing procedures.
• Structural substrate defects or movement.
• Unauthorized job site modifications, cutting errors, or mishandling.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, our products, or our services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Fez, Morocco.
